mmmmmmmmmmm her eyes closed in pleasure at the buttery crossiant coated her mouth and woke up her taste buds.
she was a little unsure why she was even eating. It was 9:17pm so it definately wasn't a midnight snack. she wasn't hungry. perhaps, she just felt like a bit of a hug, and it was the closest thing she could find to a cookie.
really, she should just go to bed and read. reading helped. it always did. mostly did. okay, sometimes it did.
she sighed, swallowed the last mouthful and drank milk from the carton next to her. truthfully she was a little off, a little lost.
she wandered off in her head as she brushed her teeth, turned everything over in her mind as she pulled on some pj shorts and a singlet. she just didn't know.
turning on the fan as she did most nights, and climbing under the covers she realised it was raining. how had she not even heard that?
lists. maybe she needed lists. lists of all that baking she would do each evening after work - the fun stuff, cookies and layer cakes and muesli bars and crumble. the norishing stuff like curries - she was always wanting to make some curry but never quite got around to it. and organising. she needed to declutter those shelves and do some sewing and maybe update her clothes so it was just the basics and oooo could she make herself a little garden somewhere.
fuck. that was the problem. everything that there was in her head was just too much. she needed to slow down.
defeated. she reached over and switched off the light. she was three parts asleep when she thought - maybe it's low iron?
